Shoma’s $10M judgment against local developer restored by court
In 2021, Shoma Coral Gables LLC, managed by Shojaee, won a $10 million jury verdict against Gables Investment Holdings LLC, a company that, pleadings in the case show, Colombo owns and is part of CMC Group.
The jury heard evidence that Colombo canceled the development, closed the sales offices and halted marketing efforts without consulting Shojaee. Shoma Coral Gables claimed this was in breach of the operating agreement and caused the condo project to fail to move forward. The jury awarded Shoma Coral Gables $10 million.
